Version 1.2.1 Released

Posted on 28 May 10 by Danilo Ercoli

Version 1.2.1 has been released to AppWorld today. This release contains a bug fix that resolves localization issues on some older BlackBerry devices.

If you are experiencing issues using WordPress for BlackBerry in languages other than English, we strongly encourage you to update to this new version.

Depending on your region or country, you might not see the latest version in the BlackBerry App World, but on your device you should now already see the latest version 1.2.1.

I didn’t even see that 1.2 was released, but I’m upgrading now. I’ve been very pleased with this app since it’s pre-1.0 days.

Can I download .alx for PC using BB desktop manager?
Because I can’t use OTA ,now.

    1. Danilo

@hal — there is no way to download WordPress for BlackBerry 1.2.1 package for BB desktop manager.
However, you can download a development snapshot of the app at the following URL:
      for Os4.7 or higher –

      http://blackberry.svn.wordpress.org/nightly/OS47/WordPress_rev1.2.273.zip

      for OS 4.3 or higher-

      http://blackberry.svn.wordpress.org/nightly/OS43/WordPress_rev1.2.273.zip

note: keep in mind that is a dev snapshot and can contains unespected bugs.

I’m having a problem getting it installed, might be my BB but something is certainly not happy.

Within the last couple of days a new version of WordPress has beome available on Blackberry 9700. This downloads but does not become resident in “applications” (ie no icon). I know its dowloaded because I can see it on the list of aplliaction downloads (tools/applications) but here I can only set permissions and / or delete the appliaction). So my question is how can I regain access to WordPress on my BBY 9700 via the apps menu? If it helps the same problem occurs on my wife’s brand new BBY 9700 (in her case with TubeBuddy) suggesting this is a BBY inherent problem. Thanks!

    1. Danilo

@Michel D’Anjou — did you look in the “Downloads” folder?
One more question, did you download the app using RIM App World?

I am still unable to post my location when I use this. I get a message that states that it has taken to long to respond. I am using this on a Storm 9530.
